From a photographic perspective, Romania remains one of the last European destinations where nature, light, and tradition still coexist in an unaltered way. In the heart of the Carpathian Mountains, landscapes shift rapidly from dense forests to open ridgelines, while villages preserve a rhythm of life almost untouched by time.

This 8-day photo tour is designed as a visual transition between worlds: mountain landscapes, wildlife habitats, and authentic rural culture. The experience is built upon more than 40 years of photographic field exploration, with each location carefully chosen for its light, accessibility, and genuine visual potential.

In this setting, nature photography gains a dimension rarely found elsewhere in Europe. Wild landscapes, vast forests, and constantly changing light create a visual territory where every moment becomes a photographic opportunity.

The experience combines three essential directions: mountain landscapes in sunrise and sunset light, exploration of traditional villages in remote areas, and controlled encounters with the emblematic wildlife of the Carpathians, such as the brown bear and the European bison, in their natural habitat.

The rhythm is designed around observation and composition, allowing real time to understand light and space, not merely to capture them quickly.

It is an experience created for photographers seeking more than spectacular images — an authentic exploration of wilderness, in the spirit of the idea: “travel like a photographer.”

Itinerary

• Day 1 – Airport pick-up and transfer to Măgura, a mountain village in the Carpathians.

• Day 2 – Photo tour through the villages between the Bucegi and Piatra Craiului Mountains, followed by a brown bear photography session from a wildlife hide.

• Day 3 – Sunrise photography in Măgura, breakfast, then transfer for an evening bear photography session from a hide.

• Day 4 – Transfer to Vânători-Neamț, with a stop in the Eastern Carpathians for landscape photography.

• Day 5 – Photography session with European bison in Vânători-Neamț National Park, followed by landscape photography at Cuejdel Lake, known for its submerged forest.

• Day 6 – Transfer from Vânători-Neamț to Rimetea, with a stop at Turda Salt Mine.

• Day 7 – Photo tour in the Trascău Mountains around Rimetea. Sunrise, landscape and mountain villages.

• Day 8 – Transfer from Rimetea to Cluj Airport.

Companions: The price for companions is the same as for participants.
