Tour Description

In spring, Bucovina offers not only the landscapes you already know and are eager to photograph, but also a unique attraction — the lady’s slipper orchid (Cypripedium calceolus). Although this orchid can be found in other parts of the country as well, here it has a special characteristic: abundance. A route through the fresh spring hay meadows reveals, alongside the scenery, a spectacular flora. Fields of cotton grass, various orchid species, and among them, we may also discover the lady’s slipper orchid.

As we will be photographing in protected natural reserves, we will follow all conservation rules required by law. It is essential to understand that protecting rare flora and natural monuments is not only a legal obligation, but also a moral responsibility.

The aim of the photo tour is, in addition to landscape photography, to help participants discover macro photography, learn how to photograph wild flora, and understand the technical approach behind it.

Itinerary

• Day 1 – Meeting of participants. Presentation of the tour. Introduction to macro photography.

• Day 2 – Photo tour in the hilly area of Bucovina (landscapes, seasonal flora)

• Day 3 – Photo tour in floral nature reserves in Bucovina

• Day 4 – Morning photo tour in floral reserves. Afternoon: end of the PhotoTOUR.

Price: 300 €/person – accommodation in double room

Initial deposit: 150 € / person

Single supplement: 75 € / person

Payment deadlines

• Registration and deposit payment: until 05.05.2025

• Final payment: until 15.05.2025

Group size

• Maximum: 12 participants

• Minimum: 6 participants.

If fewer than 6 participants register, the PhotoTOUR may still take place, but the price will be recalculated accordingly.

Companions: The price for companions is the same as for participants.

Accommodation: 3-star guesthouse, double rooms.

Meals: Not included.

Transport: Not included; transport will be provided by participants’ own cars.

• Meals (chosen individually by participants)

• Transport to and from Câmpulung Moldovenesc and local transport

Payment method

Payment can be made by bank transfer to our account at Banca Transilvania. To secure a place, the initial deposit is required. Payment can be made in EUR or RON, at the NBR exchange rate on the payment day + 3% currency risk coefficient. After registration, participants will receive an email with payment details, whether payment is made by bank transfer or card.
