Tour Description

In the wilderness of the Carpathian Mountains lies the largest population of brown bears in Europe. However, in the wild, the bear is a difficult animal to photograph and, contrary to common belief, it is a shy species. Photographing bears in freedom is not an easy task, which is why we invite you to our photo tour, designed to offer a complete yet safe photographic experience.

For three evenings, we will photograph bears in three different locations, in three distinct areas, from specially designed hides. And since we are in a region with strong photographic potential, sunrise landscapes will be another key focus of our PhotoTOUR.

Join us on a specially designed tour for wildlife and landscape photography enthusiasts. A trip created for a wide variety of scenery and animals, with a small number of participants, where photographic opportunities are truly exceptional.

Logistics

• We will operate in wild areas of the Carpathian curvature, carefully selected for their high bear population density and quality of golden-hour light.

• The photo sessions take place from specially designed photographic hides, with viewing windows at animal eye level.

• The program is dictated by bear activity, as well as the optimal times for spectacular sunrise landscapes. We will have two daily sessions: a morning session for sunrise photography, and an afternoon session, taking advantage of peak wildlife activity and soft, diffused light.

• Transfers to the monitoring areas are done by 4x4 vehicles, followed by short walks on varied terrain. No special physical condition is required, but discretion and silence are essential.

Price: 460€ / person – double room accommodation

Single supplement: 120 € / person

Initial deposit: 50% of the tour price

• Registration and deposit payment: until 15.07.2026

• Final payment: until 01.08.2026

Group size

• Maximum: 6 participants

• Minimum: 5 participants.

If fewer than 5 participants register, the PhotoTOUR may still take place, but the price will be recalculated accordingly.

Companions

The price for companions is the same as for participants.

Accommodation: 3-star guesthouse, place in double rooms.

Meals: Breakfast included.

Transport: Not included. Please ask for if you need.

Payment method

Payment can be made by bank transfer to our account at Banca Transilvania. To secure a place, the initial deposit is required. After registration, participants will receive an email with payment details, whether payment is made by bank transfer or card.
