And if you manage to catch a sunrise in the Crai Mountains—one of those rare ones you might see once in 20 years—and the sunset in the Bucegi is just as spectacular, what more could a photographer wish for?

Tour Description:
In the Bran area, where rolling hills flow gently between the ridges of Piatra Craiului and the Bucegi Mountains, photography is not just a technical exercise—it is a state of being. The light arrives slowly, settles over the villages, and fades away without haste.
Sunrise on the ridges:
We start early, climbing the hills around Moieciu de Sus, Măgura, Peștera, and Șirnea to welcome the sunrise—the moment when mist rises from the valleys and the first rays touch the scattered mountain houses. Here we focus on
morning light,
layered composition,
atmosphere and mist.
After the morning session, we stop for a breakfast with a view, a natural moment of rest and conversation.
Exploring mountain villages:
The day continues at a slow pace through the villages and connecting trails: Bran – Peștera – Moieciu de Sus – Șirnea. This part of the day is about observation rather than technical execution. We look for
wide landscape frames,
rural details,
authentic life scenes.
At midday, we stop for a traditional meal, an essential part of the local experience.
Afternoon of soft light:
As the light changes, we return to open trails where the hills gain volume and texture. Now we focus on
exposure control in changing light,
subject–background relationships,
quick decision-making in the field.
Sunset on the ridges:
In the evening, we head toward special sunset locations, when the light becomes soft and the landscape gains depth. This is the moment when
colors become compressed,
shadows turn expressive,
photography becomes intuitive.
This is a tour where photography becomes an excuse for exploration and for a deeper connection with the place.
There is no fixed date for this tour. The light and rhythm of the location are different every time. Choose the day when you want to experience it, and we will take care of the rest. To ensure the best conditions, booking must be made at least two days in advance.

Difficulty: Easy hiking on the foothill hills between the Bucegi and Piatra Craiului mountains, accessible to anyone with minimal preparation.
Photo equipment: Please refer to the equipment list in the internal PhotoTOUR section. For companions/non-photographers, a good smartphone is recommended to capture memories.
Trekking equipment: Please refer to the equipment list in the internal PhotoTOUR section.
Accommodation: Not applicable.
Meals: Breakfast and dinner are not included. However, optional stops for meals are included in the program at guesthouses or local restaurants.
Transport: Included on the tour day from Brașov to the photography area and back.
Companions: The price for companions is the same as for participants.
Price: From 130€/person for a minimum group of 2 people.
Single participant price: 210€.
